There are many cosmetic facial serums and vitamins targeting various skin concerns. Here's a breakdown by target and some popular ingredients:

Hydration:

  • Hyaluronic Acid: A humectant that attracts and retains moisture in the skin.

  • Glycerin: Another humectant that draws moisture to the skin.

  • Squalane: A lightweight oil that mimics the skin's natural oils and helps prevent moisture loss.

Anti-Aging:

  • Retinol: A powerful ingredient that stimulates collagen production and reduces wrinkles. (Use with caution, consult a dermatologist before starting)

  • Peptides: Short chains of amino acids that signal the skin to produce more collagen and elastin.

  • Vitamin C: An antioxidant that brightens skin tone and protects against sun damage.

Brightening:

  • Vitamin C: As mentioned above, brightens and evens skin tone.

  • Kojic Acid: Lightens dark spots and hyperpigmentation.

  • Licorice Root Extract: Reduces hyperpigmentation and soothes the skin.

Acne-Prone Skin:

  • Salicylic Acid: A beta hydroxy acid (BHA) that unclogs pores and reduces breakouts.

  • Niacinamide: Reduces inflammation and redness, and regulates oil production.

  • Tea Tree Oil: Has antibacterial properties that can help fight blemishes. Use diluted, can be irritating

Other Concerns:

  • Vitamin E: An antioxidant that protects the skin from free radical damage.

  • Ferulic Acid: Boosts the effectiveness of other antioxidants like vitamin C.

  • Bakuchiol: A gentler alternative to retinol with similar wrinkle-reducing benefits. (Consider for those with sensitive skin)

Remember:

  • This is not an exhaustive list, and there are many other ingredients and serums available.

  • It's important to choose serums formulated for your specific skin concerns and consult a dermatologist before using any new products, especially if you have sensitive skin or any underlying conditions.

  • Some serums and vitamins can interact with each other or with medications, so it's always best to consult a professional for personalized advice.

The design process

Contact us to set up a meeting to discuss the details of your project, so that we can help you to uncover what your dream home looks like. As a first step, we'll thoroughly research the best style to suit your space, budget, and unique needs. Next, we'll develop a mood board that will help you to better visualize our ideas. Once we receive your approval on our vision, we'll move onto creating a series of design proposals. In the final step, your favorite proposal will then be flawlessly rendered in our programs to give you a virtual, but very realistic image of your newly-designed home.
